Hi everybody,
This is just a very quick update to let you know that the base layout work for Going for a Song is now complete. I'm waiting on artwork for the Double Agent backers whose images are going into the book and then we can finalise it.
I hope this won't be too long and I thank you all for your patience.
On another subject, I decided to get some copies of Better Latte Than Never printed for UK Games Expo and we have some remaining. It's a limited number and they are exclusivley available from our distributor, GMS.

Hello all,
Once again I find myself way behind on keeping you good folks up to date on what's happening at Imaginarium Towers. The honest answer is this, not much recently.
Generally speaking I'm not one for excuses but the start of this year has been tough personally. I had an illness of my own, and then I had an extended period of my own father being hospitalised and my Mother-in-Law passing away. My Mother-in-Law had advanced dementia so her passing was ultimately a blessing, but those left behind need to be supported.
On top of this, I had to make a tough decision. Since I started the Section D project I haven't really earned a living wage. Sales have been OK but not stellar, and not enough to call a salary. So I needed to get back to earning. Some of you will have seen that I have started working with GMS Hobby Game Logistics as their Sales Manager. This role fits alolngside my publishing efforts but a lot of groundwork has been needed. The positive side of this is that our relationship with Pinnacle is getting stronger and we now have over 100 Savage Worlds lines readily available in the UK. A big step in the right direction for fans.
The good news - Jetty jets in to Imaginarium Towers!
Moving away from the doom and gloom is some news I believe will be welcome to you all. I have now been able to bring in some help to get the remaining Secret Files of Section D products out. Primarily, this is the engagement of my good friend, collaborator, and Chief Smartass, Jan Jetmar, to work on the layout of Going for a Song.
Jan has worked on a good number of very well received Savage Worlds products including Sprawl Runners and City Guard Chronicles, as well as working with me on the trade dress and other things for Section D. I honestly couldn't think of a better person to pick up this ball for me.
We're working together to get things finished and we'll keep you posted on a release very soon.
Double Agent Backers
Anybody who backed at Double Agent level and who hasn't worked with me on their character yet should be receiving an email very soon about the available characters for Going for a Song.
So that's all for now.
Happy gaming,
Allan.
A slightly delayed new year update.

Covid sucks!
After taking a little break over Christmas I attended a local convention over the first weekend of the month and promptly got Covid. So, there's almost a week lost due to feeling utterly rubbish. Sorry.
Going for a Song
Work progresses on Going for a Song, the first thing I'm doing is re-making the encounter maps so they're all new and shiney. Also, while I have some cover art for this adventure, Mat and I were discussing it over Christmas and we think we can come with something better, I'll post some teasers soon.
After that, it's final edit and layout. The adventure is written and tested but there will always be slight improvements which can be made. This said, I think Going for a Song is written better from the start than Better Latte Than Never was and won't need anything like the editing and re-writes I had to do there.
Double Agent backers who haven't had their characters done yet will be getting a list of available NPCs for Going for a Song in the next few days.
Lastly, and I'm sorry it's a bit late, I'd like to wish everybody a happy, healthy, and prosperous new year.
Allan.

Better Latte Than Never is now available to download
And it's finally out to backers. I'm pleased to announce that Better Latte Than Never, the first in a trilogy of stories, has been released to KS backers.
It's taken an age, way too long I know, but it's so much more now than it was when I first thought I'd done it.
All the encounter maps have been re-done to a higher standard.
Act one was re-written after play test feedback to give options for more of the adventure to take place in Prague.
The whole thing has a better story which hangs togther nicer and the GM actually knows what's going to happen next!
I'll be putting the adventure live on Drivethru later today or tomorrow for those who didn't back the Kickstarter.
For those who did, check your email for your download link. If you don't have one and think you should, please reach out.
It's been an epic journey but we got there. Next, Going for a Song!

Better Latte Than Never and the irony of titling
over 2 years ago

Hi guys,
So, first things first, I've been really bad at updating Kickstarter. Again. I have been keeping things updated on the Facebook and Discord pages but I've dropped the ball with updates on here. I can only apologise.
So, Better Latte Than Never. If anybody saw the livestream I did with the Savage Universe channel on October 26th you might have heard me say "it might even go out tomorrow". Obviously that didn't happen, but it is very close. You may have also heard me say that I was having surgery on my foot on following Monday (30th) and that did happen. There's really only one word to describe that, OWW! So I was out of action for a few days but then late last week I was able to get back onto finishing Better Latte Than Never and it's pretty much there.
The actual adventure has had so many re-writes it's just about recognisable from the original version I wrote at the beginning of the whole Section D thing:
The opening act has been re-worked to give a long version and a short version following play test feedback.
The final act has had a lot more information added to it to ensure the GM knows what's going on and can bring the mission to a strong conclusion when the players go off piste which, let's face it, they will do.
I realised from watching a livestreamed play of the adventure from a while back that the alternate ending was a) More likely than the original ending, and b) Very difficult to accomplish using the pre-gen characters, which I think are typical of a normal group. So I needed to find a way to make the most likely ending a positive experience for the players as their was a serious risk of anti-climax. The drawing together of the various threads is, I believe, much better now.
I've re-designed all the encounter maps for the mission with more depth and detail.
Lastly, I've been working over the last week or so with some of the Double Agent backers to ensure they're happy with the artwork and character biogs they're receiving as part of their rewards. This process started a while back but as final layout has gone on it's needed to be revisited.
But the adventure is all done and it's with a few trusted friends for final proof reading. Meanwhile, I'm just putting the finishing touches on the appendix section. This is larger versions of the encounter maps, stat blocks, etc.
Some of you know that I also work alongside my distributor, GMS Hobby Game Logistics, to promote and bring more Savage Worlds products to the UK and Europe. We've been liaising with Pinnacle over the last couple of weeks on a major shipment for distribution on this side of the Atlantic which we should have in the next couple of weeks. Also, we're attending a UK event from this Thursday (9th) to Sunday (12th). So Better Latte Than Never will hit towards the end of next week as long there are no big issues found by the test readers.
Once again, I'm sorry for being quiet on Kickstarter, no excuses, I will try to do better.
